| I know this is early but I notice in Disco Baby there a different type of yarn I have never used or heard off. Can anyone tell me about them? |

I saw that but itsn't tell which one pills more than others and what does Dk weight mean? I am curious about moonwalk merino and summer lovin" DK and Far Out Organic Merino? I currently using Superfine Cestari and love this yarn but was thinking of trying something different since I am making a sweater maybe one of the yarn listed is better for it.
So any help would be great. |

DK weight is thinner, lighter weight than worsted. It's significantly thinner than Cestari superfine. I have knit her Far Out Organic merino and it feels like Gaia Organic Bulky to me. It does pill more than Cestari but is really soft.
Check the sweater pattern for a gauge, that will help you narrow down which yarns you have to choose from. If you still need help, post the gauge here. |

Ok I fell really really dumb  How do I check the sweater pattern for a gauge? I have done my own gauge but not with pattern. This is going to be my first time using this pattern.
Ok I looked at the pattern it says: 5.5 stitches and 7 rows per inch and the pattern said to use a DK weight which would be fine for the sweater but the pants needs to be thicker since she wear cloth diapers? So what do you all think I should do? |

you can use the same weight for longies and the sweater but you will just have to change the needles to get the correct gauge.. so if you go with a bulky (far out) which is not a *true* bulky it's more a true aran weight you can go down in needles to get the correct gauge for the sweater.
I get 5spi on size 7 for Far out so you could probably go down to a 5 6 size needle and get gauge that way.

I would probably go with either Licorice Twist or Groove Thing organic Merino if you want to use the exact same yarn for both pieces. They would be the easiest to get the right gauge for the sweater and will work for longies as well. You might need to customize the longies pattern a little to work with the lighter yarn but I think it's easier to customize longies than a sweater pattern. If you want two different weight that dye up the same I'd go with Groove Thing for the sweater and Far Out Organic Merino for the longies. I can also ask Kara what she suggests. |

If you are knitting the playtime top then you will want the lighter weights of yarn like LT or Worsted Gaia ( can't recall what she renamed it)
I test knit her addison sweater on BFL and it turned out perfect.
You want the drape to be light so the lighter yarns work best

| Ok I have one weird question is it possible to order a 2 oz skein of jungle chic/you Jane instead of 4oz since I need thicker yarn for longies and will only need some for waist and bottom leg cuff? Since the longie will be one solid color from jungle chic or you Jane. Is it confusing? |

It's not possible through the coop but you could ask Kara about a custom order. You could also have a hat made out of the extra 2oz or even possibly sell it. |
